Our mission is to preserve, promote, and advance the art of Argentine Tango, encouraging deep appreciation for its music, dance, and cultural significance through education, artistic performances, and community engagement. We are committed to keeping tango alive in all its forms—music, dance, poetry, literature, history, and visual arts—ensuring that this heritage is preserved and evolves for future generations. As a dance born in Buenos Aires in the late 19th century, tango has crossed borders and was recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009. For this reason, we assume the responsibility of celebrating and widely spreading this cultural treasure.
Our vision is to inspire, heal, and connect people through the transformative power of tango, celebrating this timeless art and creating a lasting positive impact in our communities. We aim to see tango flourishing in cities across the United States, integrating all art forms and wellness practices into its experience and bringing together people of all ages. Ultimately, we aim to elevate tango to new heights and shape its future, ensuring it continues to win hearts across the nation and the world.
Community Impact
Tango has a deep and lasting impact on society. Through our programs, we aim to improve lives and foster shared values:
Physical & Mental Health: Tango enhances posture, coordination, memory, emotional regulation, and cardiovascular function. It also supports conditions like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and cancer recovery. Scientific studies have validated tango as a valuable complement to traditional therapies.
Social Inclusion: Born from immigrant communities, tango is a universal language. Our programs welcome children, seniors, people with disabilities, and diverse cultural backgrounds. Our milongas foster empathy, break social barriers, and build community.
Cultural Preservation: We educate the public about tango's legendary musicians, poets, and traditions. Our activities elevate tango as a living cultural legacy.
Family & Community Connection: Our classes and events foster friendship, belonging, and generational dialogue. We regularly bring tango to schools, community centers, and senior homes, ensuring accessibility for all.
Inspiration
Our organization is dedicated to inspiring all generations to embrace this unique cultural heritage..
Connecting communities
Through innovative programs, workshops, and events, we foster dialogue and mutual inspiration, bridging generational gaps and building lasting bonds among diverse communities.
Innovación Argentine Tango Arts blends the timeless art of tango with modern wellness innovation. Our system integrates movement, mindfulness, and emotional expression to enhance physical balance, mental clarity, and overall well-being.
Programs and Activities
We offer a wide range of programs and activities that fulfill our mission and serve the community. Each initiative is designed to highlight different aspects of tango as an art form, integrating artistic disciplines and wellness practices.
Tango Classes & Workshops: Regular tango classes for all levels—from absolute beginners to advanced dancers—using a progressive methodology that guarantees a solid foundation. We offer group lessons, intensive workshops, and private instruction for all ages, developing technique, creativity, musicality, and connection.
Milongas & Social Events: We host regular milongas—social dance gatherings open to the community. These events recreate the magical atmosphere of Buenos Aires milongas and offer an inclusive space for practicing, socializing, and forming friendships. We also organize tango galas, festivals, themed shows, guided practices, and dance marathons.
Tango Shows & Theater: As part of our artistic mission, we present live tango performances that integrate dance, music, and song. Featuring talented dancers, singers, and musicians—including live orchestras—our shows bring world-class tango to theaters, festivals, and private events. These performances educate audiences on tango history, poetry, and theatrical richness.
Art, Literature & Poetry: We support and organize visual arts exhibits (drawing, painting, photography) inspired by tango. Local artists can showcase their works related to tango culture. We also promote creative writing and tango poetry through readings, contests, and songwriting workshops. These interdisciplinary activities celebrate tango beyond dance, honoring its influence in literature, visual arts, and cultural identity.
Health, Fitness & Wellness: We offer Tango-Fitness workshops and adaptive tango sessions that bring fun, inclusive movement to the public. Tango improves posture, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular health. In partnership with health professionals, we provide specialized programs for seniors and individuals with conditions like Parkinson's, cancer recovery, and arthritis. Scientific studies confirm that tango enhances motor skills, cognition, and emotional health, making it a powerful complementary therapy.
Cultural Tango Travel: We organize cultural trips to Buenos Aires and other tango capitals. Participants dance in authentic milongas, learn from renowned Argentine maestros, attend festivals, and explore historic tango neighborhoods like San Telmo and La Boca—strengthening both personal and community connections.
Tango Styles Competitions (Coming Soon): An inclusive new format for tango competition designed for dancers of all ages and levels, from amateur to professional. Unlike traditional contests, Tango Styles features predefined movement sequences taught beforehand, ensuring equal conditions for all. Judging emphasizes musicality, interpretation, and individual creativity. This initiative aims to democratize tango competition and highlight emerging talent.
The Tango Way: Our Teaching Method
We implement The Tango Way, a comprehensive teaching method that defines our educational identity. More than a class system, it is a learning philosophy that brings generations together through tango.
Developed by tango experts, The Tango Way promotes physical health, emotional awareness, discipline, and lifelong learning.
Designed for dancers of all backgrounds, with or without prior experience.
Structured into six progressive levels, covering fundamentals to advanced elements like improvisation, adornments, deep musicality, and personal style.
Builds technical foundation and encourages creativity and self-expression.
Forms the base for future instructors and ensures high-quality tango education.
Includes small group classes, private lessons, choreography workshops, and seminars on history, music, and tango codes.
The method emphasizes real-life experience: students are encouraged to attend social milongas early on. Guided practices and cultural seminars provide context, helping students become complete tango artists—not just dancers.
A global learning community is emerging from this method, with online resources, videos, and partnerships connecting tango enthusiasts around the world. One of our guiding mottos is: "Tango is waiting for you."
